No. Articles restricted by role, password-protected or unpublished are left out of the search results and of the REST responses for visitors who cannot open them.
Can I run more than one knowledge base on the same site?
Yes. Group articles into instances and show each one with the instance attribute of the home shortcode.
Can I put the knowledge base on any page?
Yes. Use [maw_kb_home], [maw_kb_search] or [maw_kb_categories] in a page, a Divi text module or a template.
